Town of Strathmore - Request for Proposal - Strathmore Firehall –…
Description
The Town of Strathmore is a growing community of approximately 15,000 residents, served by the Strathmore Fire Department, which responds to about 800 calls per year across an area of roughly 30 square kilometers. The Strathmore Fire Department currently operates one station, which face challenges related to capacity limitations, operational efficiency and response times. The new firehall to be located at the intersection of Wheatland Trail and future Wildflower Connector is required to improve emergency response coverage, accommodate community growth and replace the current aging facility at Lakeside Blvd and to provide modern, purposebuilt space that supports current and future fire and emergency services needs. The Town of Strathmore invites proposals from qualified progressive design build teams for the planning, design, and construction of a new firehall on a bare land parcel located at the intersection of Wheatland Trail (Highway 817) and future Wildflower Connector. The Town intends to use a progressive design build delivery model, under which a single integrated team will work collaboratively with the Town to develop the design, establish a guaranteed maximum price, and construct the facility.
Score Reasoning
The tender is for the architectural design and construction of a physical firehall facility, which is a civil engineering and heavy construction project. This falls entirely outside the scope of toy manufacturing, collectibles strategy, and digital consumer engagement platforms.
